PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTION CAREFULLY IF YOU ARE THE FIRST TIME BUILDER OF ANY METAL KITS.

レジンパーツ　RESIN PARTS

レジンパーツの表面には、成型時のシリコン皮膜や離型剤が残っているので、このまま塗装すると、塗料がくいきません。まず中性洗剤または専用のクリーナーで洗ってから表面を８００番の紙ヤスリで軽く磨いてください。

Please wash resin parts with a dishwashing detargents before painting as there are some silicon and other chemicals remaining from rhe fabrication process. Then sand dowm the surface with #800 grain sandpapar lightly.

次に各パーツを仮組みします。ボディなどはパーツを取り付ける穴は完全にあいていません。ドリルで穴をあけてください。

Next, test assemble the parts for fit. Holes on the body parts need to be drilled out completely.

レジンパーツにサフェーサー（プラモデル用でもカーショップで売っている実車用：通称プラサフ　いずれでも結構です。）を軽くスプレーし、もし表面に気泡があればビン入りのサフェーサーで細筆を使って埋めます。大きな穴はねんど状のポリパテで補修します。

Spray lighty on the resin parts with a primer. Both the model paints and the real auto pains work fine. Should pin-holes appear on the surface, Fill them with padding the brush on the holes. For the large irrgularities and holes, apply a poliester putty to make the surface smooth.

補修が終わったら、サフェーサーを全体にスプレーし、「８００番の紙やすり」→「サフェーサー」→「１０００番の紙やすり」の作業を丹念に行います。この行程をしっかりやらないと、下地のでこぼこが見えてしまいます。上手に行えばプラモデルの表面のようにつるつるになります。

Next spray the entire surfaces with a surfacer, then file down with a #800 grain sandpaper, again spray surfacer, then sand down with a #1000 grain sandpaper.

Make sure to take time on the process to make a smooth surface. The final look depends on it. If done right, the surface will be as smooth as those of the plastic models.

塗装　ＰＡＩＮＴＩＮＧ

塗料はプラモデル用でも実車用でもかまいません。一度に厚塗りせずに、薄く何回も塗るように心がけてください。

Both the model paints and the real auto pains work fine. Do not try to paint in one thick coat. Spray several coats lightly for the best finish.

発色をよくするために、下地に必ず白を塗装してください。最終的に赤い色にしたいときは、白の次にピンクを塗ると赤の発色が更に良くなります。

Use a white undercoat to make the final colors bright. For the final red color, spray white first , then pink on it to further enhence the brightness.

メタルパーツ　METAL PARTS

ホワイトメタルパーツは表面のザラザラが消える程度まで８００番、１０００番、１５００番と順番に磨いてください。メッキのような光沢にしたいときは、コンパウンドを使って頑張って磨いてください。かなり光ります。ただしホワイトメタルはもろいので力を入れすぎないように注意してください。細かいパーツはピンﾊﾞｲｽで掴んだり、綿棒で磨くなど工夫してください。なお磨いたあとクリア塗装をしておかないと、しばらくすると黒ずんでしまいます。

Sand down the metal parts starting with #800 grain sandpaper, then #1000 and then #1500 until the surface gets smooth. For the chrome-like finish, polish them with a rubbing compound. It will shine substantually. Be careful not to hold the metal parts too strongly. They are a bit brittle. Finally after polishing, please spray acoat of clear paint as the metal parts will tint with time.

仕上げ塗装 FINSHING PAINT

光沢を更に出すために、仕上げにクリアを塗ることを勧めます。なおデカールの上に塗るわけですから、デカールは完全に密着してなければいけません。デカールフィットなどを使って、丹念にデカールを貼ることが、まず大切なことです。筋彫りのところなどは特に注意してください。

For the final finish and the maximum shine, spray a coat of clear paint for the best finish.

The decals should be fitted before this process. So, make sure that decals are applied firmly. The difference will show upon completion.

クリアを塗る場合も一度にたくさんスプレーせずに、何度か塗るつもりで作業します。「クリア」→「１５００番の紙やすり」→「クリア」→「１５００番の紙やすり」と繰り返し、ある程度クリア面が厚くなったら、コンパウンドで磨いてピカピカにしてください。なお、角を磨きすぎると下地が出てしまいますので注意してください。磨くときに早く手を動かし過ぎると、熱で塗装面が痛んでしまいますので、急がずゆっくりと行ってください。最後に塗装面の保護と光沢アップのためにワックスを塗ることをお勧めします。

Also when spraying coats of clear paint, do not try to do it in one go. spray lighty and then sand down(#1500grain sandpaper)and repeat this process.

If the clear coats become thick, polishing it with rubbing compound will help make agood shine. Further more, be careful when polishing the edges. The edges may reveal its under coats. Also, do not rub the surface too quickly when polishing. Heat will arise from the friction, so please ce careful and take your time. Finally for protection and good shine, polish the body with wax.

エッチングパーツ ETCHINGS

エッチングパーツを切り離すときは、ニッパーかクラフトはさみで切り離してください。薄いものなら、カッターで切ることもできます。バリが残っていたら、目の細かいヤスリできれいにし、折り曲げるときは、ピンセットなどを使用し、ていねいに折り曲げてください。なお、エッチングパーツも金属ですから、塗装するときは必ず、プライマーを下地に塗ってください。

Use cutting instruments when taing etching parts from the tree. Any extra tree may be grained down with afile. Please hanndle the etching parts carefully inpreparations and assembly. Finally as etching parts are metal, a coat of primer is suggested before spraying on any paint.

バキュームフォームパーツ　VACCUME FORMED PARTS

バキュームフォームパーツはとりあえず大きめに切り取り、それからサイズを合わせながら少しずつ切り込むとうまくフィットさせることができます。

First, cut the vacu-parts with some extra on the edges. Then, cut little by little to fit to the exact size needed.

接着　ASSEMBLY

レジンやメタルのパーツ、またはエッチングパーツを接着するには、エポキシ系の接着剤を使ってください。瞬間接着剤でも接着できますが、万一失敗したときに、取り返しのつかないことになります。特に外側に出る場所には使わない方がいいでしょう。

When assemblying resin parts with metal parts or etching parts, use an epoxy adhesive. Cyano-acryle type cement(super grue) is convenient, but you will not have a second chance for re-assembly when (super grue)for outer surfaces.

塩ビ製のバキュームはゴム系のクリアﾎﾞﾝﾄﾞで接着し、はみ出たらようじの先で取り除いてください。

Clear vacu-form parts should be assembled with a rubber type clear glue (clear contact cement). Any excess can be wiped off easily with tooth picks.
